Radio Frequency (RF) and WiFi Scanners

 

Wireless scanners are used in logistics throughout the world, especially in warehousing, retail and distribution.

 

They provide the advantage of operating in real time.  Users receive directions and live information from the WMS allowing them to perform their tasks as efficiently as possible.  Real time verification ensures that stock availability is always accurate, reducing pick errors and maximising staff productivity.

 

RF Solutions

RF or Radio Frequency scanners utilise radio wavelengths to transmit data.  The powerful base stations can support many users simultaneously over a very wide area, reducing the need for repeater stations in your warehouse.

 

The Jatech WMS uses NordicID RF601 radio frequency scanners.  These provide users with a large, easy to read screen, robust silicone rubber buttons, long battery life and a range of accessories such as belt clips and protective rubber covers.

 

The RF601 communicates with the host PC in real time via the base station.  Scanner controller software runs on the host PC, eliminating the need to program the handheld units.  This makes software development and deployment very easy.

RF, Wireless (WiFi) And Bluetooth Solutions

In addition to RF scanners Jatech also utilise wireless scanners running the industry standard Windows CE platform for mobile devices.  These scanners use the common wireless standard (802.11b/g).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The NordicID Morphic is a fast, wireless scanner that can be used to run the Jatech WMS or as a data collection terminal.  The Morphic is a compact device with a 2.2" touchscreen and weighs only 200g.  It is splash and dust proof to IP54 rating and features VOIP (voice over IP) functionality, combining data collection with voice communication.
