The Jatech WMS is used by a diverse customer base across a broad range of sectors including packaging suppliers, medical manufacturers and plastic extrusion specialists. Learn more about how we have helped our clients to maximise their warehouse efficiency by reviewing the selected details below:

Deltaform

Deltaform are a plastic thermoforming company based in Bridgewater, Somerset.  The company employs over 200 people and have just completed a new build 45,000 sq ft distribution centre to take their total operation beyond 100,000 sq ft.

The facility operates around the clock and can accommodate over 6,000 pallets. As part of their expansion plans Deltaform required a warehouse management system (WMS) that could provide them with full track and trace of products from the end of their production line through to despatch.

The WMS that Jatech supplied was fully integrated into their existing order processing system and produced directed picking instructions which were sent to RF scanners. Multiple warehouse operatives pick multiple orders concurrently, utilising advanced functionality such as open picks and cross docking (loading materials from the end of production line straight into despatch vehicles without being placed into storage).

Deltaform found that their stock check accuracy improved to 99.2% and stock take times were dramatically reduced. The system delivers real-time control of all stock movements, goods in, order picking and despatch.

Online Packaging

Online Packaging are one of the UK's largest suppliers of Industrial Packaging Materials. Established in 1990 Online operated from 3 state of the art distribution centres in Gloucester, Wakefield and Hinckley.

To streamline their warehousing processes, Online required a fully automated warehouse system. Jatech managed the design and installation of the WMS, integrating with the existing Sage sales order processing system. This provided an automated link between the sales office and the warehouse, reducing the amount of paperwork being generated and dramatically improved picking times.

The system delivers real-time control and visibility of stock and has greatly decreased stock take time.

In January 2008 Online Packaging became part of the Macfarlane Packaging group of companies who are the largest UK packaging distributor with 17 branches throughout the country.

Astra Tech

Astra Tech, an international medical devices company required a barcode-controlled warehouse management system to integrate with their sales order processing (SOP) system. Their existing SQL server multi user system (also designed by Jatech) currently handles the processing and despatch of 80,000+ orders per year, with full CRM and reporting capabilities.

Jatech designed a 'lite' version of their WMS product to integrate seamlessly with Astra Tech's existing SOP.  The system uses wireless barcode scanners to direct picking from specified locations.  This combined system enables an order to be entered in SOP and picked through the WMS ready for despatch (with all accompanying despatch paperwork) within 60 seconds.
